The Quilt of Love— Quilt
Mitch ❤️
Mitch was one of my wife Patti’s best friends growing up in Whittier, CA. He was godfather to our first born. We stayed with Mitch back in 1985 so he could see his godson. On the evening of December 11, 1992 Mitchell called Patti to say goodbye. The two of them had a long, loving conversation. Mitch had planned his “walk on” for the following day not wanting to get worse or linger beyond a certain quality of life. He was special in many ways and made a living by keeping people’s homes fresh…an artful interior decorator who used plants, flowers and his dynamic artistic talent to brighten many a home in the City By The Bay.
Hello Patrick,
Mitch was a really dear friend of mine as well. I stayed with him in San Francisco in 1992 for some time to help him while he was getting sicker 🥺 taking care of his 3 beloved cats also.
About the picture: he took it himself (we would say a "selfie" now) while he was visiting my ex-husband and myself in Paris in 1991, he was on top of one tower of Notre-Dame.
I had moved to Montréal during the fall of 1992 when he appeared in my dream the night of his passing wearing wings like an angel (and I am not a believer)...
Thank you so much for posting his picture and memories about Mitch.
I think about him quite often.
